Today atmospheric CO2 levels surpassed the average daily level of 400 parts per million. Carbon dioxide concentrations have probably not been this high for 3 million years.

This date is one of the most important in human history, on the same plane with the moments when we tamed fire, figured out how to domesticate grains and animals, and invented the steam engine that triggered the industrial revolution.

In many ways this date is far more significant. Today, the capitalist system has surpassed a symbolic mark, signifying the unwillingness of the myopic elites who benefit in the short term to prevent our species’ self-inflicted destruction.

With us, we take the vast majority of the other life forms of planet Earth.
